The text of the condolence message of Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi is as follows:

In the name of God

To God, we belong and to God, we return

The news of the heartbreaking incident and martyrdom of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hujjat al-Islam Ebrahim Raisi, and his companions (may God have mercy on them) caused great sorrow and grief.

He was a servant of the people and the school of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) for many years and in different fields, and he did not fail to fulfill his duty and service. He was a clear example of a committed and sincere revolutionary leader. His conscious and free-spirited stances became a source of honor and pride for the Islamic Ummah all over the world. The honorable people of Iran and many oppressed people of the world will never forget him.

I offer my condolences to the dear people, especially to his family and relatives, and to the officials of the country and the military.

The noble people of Iran must be sure that under the blessings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), there will be no interruption in the movement of the country and the performance of the duties of the officials, and the work will be done according to the legal process, God willing.

I ask for the honor and pride of the Islamic Republic and the dear people of Iran.
